It might rain tomorrow and I just have to go and experience lunar new year at Disney California Adventure (their lunar new year activity ends on 2/5) for myself, so I decided to go today.

It's kind of cloudy today, but I checked the weather and it says there's a 0% chance of rain today, so the weather is pretty good for a fun day at Disneyland. The first thing I do when I get in Disney California Adventure is check out Frozen - Live at the Hyperion. Unfortunately, I was 5 minutes late and the 3:30 had already started. Oh well, off to Cars Land I go! Cars Land is one of my favorite parts of Disney California Adventure because whenever I step into Cars Land I feel like I'm literally in the movie. Plus, I love, love, love Cozy Cone Motel's queso cones! They're just so delicious!

Though I'm starving, I see that the Radiator Springs Racer's line is unusually short with barely anyone waiting in line, so I just get right in line. Usually you'd have to wait 1-2 hours or more to get on this ride, but I guess since today's Thursday and the weather's cloudy, the circumstance is different. You'd think I got to go on the ride immediately right? Nope. I had to wait an hour to get on the ride. I was getting really hungry and halfway when I was waiting in line I thought about leaving and just running to Cozy Cone Motel to get a chili cone, but since there was only about 30 people waiting in line ahead of me, I decided to wait. About 10-20 minutes later I finally got on the ride. I love this ride and it is super awesome. It really feels like you're racing another car in Radiator Springs. Waiting 1 hour in line for this ride is totally worth it.

Yay! Finally! My chili cone! I immediately run to the Cozy Cone Motel and wait in line to buy a queso cone after the ride. What I love about Cozy Cone Motel is that they always give you your food almost immediately after you order it. I order the chicken verde cone and about 20 seconds and 100 pictures later I'm digging into my chili cone with a spoon. Mmm~ The chili cone is so delicious and it never disappoints. After finish eating my delicious chicken verde cone, I'm just in time for the 5:30 Frozen - Live at the Hyperion show. The show, due to some technical difficulties, was extended a few minutes longer than usual, but it was about an hour long. It was pretty cool seeing all the technology and special effects they used to bring the show to life.

After the show I shopped around and took a look at the lunar new year festivities and decorations. They have food booths selling Chinese, Vietnamese, and Korean foods and drinks and an area for taking pictures with disney characters and for writing blessings and wishes on red colored papers. Unfortunately, there were no disney characters available for picture taking at the time I was there and their lunar new year exclusive pins were also all sold out. Nevertheless, there's always a cure for disappointments and ice cream does just the trick! So I head to the Ghiradelli Soda Fountain and Chocolate Shop and got myself a Mint Bliss Sundae. I just have to tell you, it was one of THE BEST SUNDAES I'VE EVER HAD. The layers of mint chocolate chip and chocolate ice cream mixed with dark hot fudge topped with whipped cream and a chocolate square is just amazing. It's heaven in my mouth. If you ever go to Disney California Adventure you HAVE to go and try one of their sundaes because it's just too good!

I end my fun day at Disney California Adventure with one of my favorite rides of all time: Soarin' Around the World. I've rode this ride so many times and it has never disappointed me. Today was just perfect, and the chicken verde cone and amazing Ghiradelli Mint Bliss Sundae just made it even better. Next time when I come back to Disney California Adventure again, I'm definitely going to order the one of the sundaes from the Ghiradelli Soda Fountain and Chocolate Shop again. Plus, they have a $1 off any sundae order offer if you check in on yelp, so what's not to love about that? Even though today was a cloudy day and I didn't get to take a picture with any of the disney characters or get to buy a lunar new year exclusive pin, it was still a really awesome day. Well done Disney!
